Watch hipster harpsichordist Jean Rondeau play Rameau at Montreal’s Bourgie Hall

At 25, with bed head, a hipster beard and faux-dandy sartorial flair, harpsichordist Jean Rondeau has become a popular new champion for an instrument that often struggles for the spotlight.

There's substance behind the style though: Rondeau is a graduate of the Paris Conservatory, won the 2012 Bruges International Harpsichord Competition and has already released two albums on Warner Classics.

Our colleagues at ICI Musique caught up with him at Bourgie Hall in Montreal and shot some beautiful videos. Watch the clips below to hear him play Rameau's Les Sauvages and the Sarabande from Rameau's Suite in A Minor.
