The smooth sounds of Lake Street Dive

Lake Street Dive is the kind of band that oozes swing-era meets Motown cool. The skilled musicians have crafted an essential summer listening album called Bad Self Portraits. They're shooting up the R2-20 chart with their tune "You Go Down Smooth." Check out the video that put them on the map a couple years back and watch as these cats teach the world a master class in swagger.

Vance Joy shows his urban side

Vance Joy's "Riptide" has become a huge hit worldwide and sits in the third position on the R2-20. Check out Joy teaming up with a fellow Australian, the hip-hop MC Illy, as they reimagine the mega-hit.

Hang the DJ

The latest chart-topping tune from Coldplay was produced by superstar electronic dance (EDM) music producer and DJ, Avicii. Not everyone has bought into the growing cult of DJ culture, where fans pay hundreds of dollars to watch a DJ and wait for the "bass to drop." Last week, Saturday Night Live took a shot right across the bow of EDM DJs and it was hilarious.
