Back on top

Haim are back at number one this week, It was impossible to keep this trio of sisters down. Este, Danielle and Alana are sittin' pretty at the top of the chart. Here’s their number one song, "The Wire."

They’re having the best year. They've topped charts across the globe, beating Justin Timberlake to the top in the U.K. and ranking in the top 10 in the U.S. and Canada with their debut record, Days Are Gone.

They even played Saturday Night Live a couple of weeks back.

They are heading out on a world tour, which was just announced and is already selling out fast. Let’s hope these three young sisters help keep each other grounded as their stars rise so rapidly.

U2 celebrate the life of Nelson Mandela in song

There are very few bands that can tap into that chest swelling, tear jerking, sing along with us and raise your lighters (or cellphones) sentiment quite like U2. The Irish band's track from the film Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom is a fitting send off as the world celebrates Nelson Mandela's life and legacy. U2's "Ordinary Love" is in at number seven.

Chillin' out with Bobby Bazini

Brrrr. He's as cool as Christmas! Bobby Bazini's Bee Gees cover "To Love Somebody" holds the number 15 spot this week. The Montreal native stopped into the Ice Hotel in Snow Village for an intimate session with CBC Music. Yup, he came close to melting the place down with his soulful voice.
