"This record kills me, man. I can’t believe it. I love it. It’s turned me into the gothic teenager. It makes me feel better. It makes me feel great." — Courtney Taylor-Taylor of the Dandy Warhols

The Strombo Show ran the gamut this Sunday night, keeping the spirit of radio alive by delivering the best records in the best order. It's a show for music lovers by music lovers, ranging over three hours of commercial-free music to honour both old and new.

George Stroumboulopoulos welcomed an intimate performance from the Dandy Warhols.

The Portland-based influencers have been delivering their catchy dosage of psychedelic pop since 1994. The Dandy Warhols have recently released their 10th album, the raucous and melodically fluid Distortland. In a low-key album celebration party, Courtney Taylor-Taylor, Peter Holmstrom and Brent DeBoer visit the House of Strombo to perform a few cuts off the record, as well as a cover Eddy Grant and a rare, acoustic rendition of "Bohemian Like You."

Also, George dropped some exclusive premieres from Montreal's fuzzy duo Solids and singer-songwriter Jenny Berkel, while rifling through some of his favourite records of yesterday — and those that might have been forgotten.

You know what to do: Lock it. Crank it! Join the collective.
