"If I should go before you...."

The Strombo Show runs the gamut this Sunday night, keeping the spirit of radio alive by delivering the best records in the best order. It's a show for music lovers by music lovers, ranging over three hours of commercial-free music to honour both old and new.

This week, George Stroumboulopoulos is joined by beloved Canadian singer-songwriter City and Colour.

City and Colour is Dallas Green, the man who has released four Juno Award-winning albums under this moniker, formed a successful duo with Pink and achieved iconic status with Alexisonfire. Known for stripped-down acoustic melody-making, Green's latest release finds him contemplating mortality with grit, courtesy of his live band, which features members of the Constantines, the Dead Weather and Dan Auerbach. His musical subtleties are amplified, but his constant pursuit of self-satisfaction remains.

In the House of Strombo, the St. Catharines native celebrates this collaborative effort, 10 years of his solo endeavour, the recent Alexisonfire reunion and performs a few songs from his latest album, If I Should Go Before You.

George also exclusively debuts songs from Young Galaxy's upcoming album, Falsework, and another from Steven Lambke (the Constantines, Baby Eagle), featuring Tamara Lindeman (the Weather Station).

We'll also be joined by a few friends of the program, such as Lucius.

Lock it. Crank it. Join the collective!
