"In my darkness, I remember Momma’s words reoccur to me: 'Surrender to the good Lord and he’ll wipe your slate clean.'"

The Strombo Show runs the gamut this Sunday night, keeping the spirit of radio alive by delivering the best records in the best order. It's a show for music lovers by music lovers, ranging over three hours of commercial-free music to honour both old and new.

George Stroumboulopoulos is joined by one of the most soulful voices in modern music, Leon Bridges for an intimate interview and an exclusive performance from Toronto's Drake Hotel

Bridges' first single 'Coming Home' floored critics with a sound that has been described as a "throwback to '60s-soul a la Otis Redding and Sam Cooke" by the Wall Street Journal. With his debut album on shelves later this month, he joins the program to talk about the overnight fame, his religious upbringing and the infinite influence of Ginuwine.

Steve Kane, President of Warner Music Canada, visits the House of Strombo for a musical exploration of his most definitive records from Eddie Cochran to The Slits.

To celebrate and honour the life of their late friend, Darius Minwalla of The Posies, members of the Canadian institution Broken Social Scene (Brendan Canning, Kevin Drew, Justin Peroff) remember his friendship and legacy through stories, spinning a few songs.
Also - we have the exclusive world premiere of Slim Twig's 'Slipin' Slidin'' off the self
proclaimed wah-wah master's upcoming fifth record.

Lock it. Crank it. Join the collective!
