"Don't take yourself away. Don't take yourself away."

The Strombo Show ran the gamut this Sunday night, keeping the spirit of radio alive by delivering the best records in the best order. It's a show for music lovers by music lovers, ranging over three hours of commercial-free music to honour both old and new.

George Stroumboulopoulos was joined by one of our nation's most unpredictable forces, Hawksley Workman to perform in the home. He also welcomed Sean Ono Lennon for an intimate conversation.
Workman is a JUNO Award winning singer-songwriter whose musical realm has expanded from modern rock to cabaret pop and his fifteenth album 'Old Cheetah' culminates his multitude of celebrated personalities. After serving duties in Canadian supergroup MOUNTIES, alongside Ryan Dahle (Limblifter) and Steve Bays (Hot Hot Heat) and touring his recent solo endeavour with the theatrical The God That Comes, he's returned to form and delivers several songs in the House of Strombo.
Lennon is one half of the bold, shifting collaborative project Ghost Of A Saber Tooth Tiger. To celebrate their album 'Midnight Sun', he visits Strombo to go on a musical exploration of his mind and family.

Also - we debuted some chamber rock tunage off SC Mira's upcoming debut record 'Waiting Room Baby' featuring our CBC Radio friend, Buck 65.

Lock it. Crank it. Join the collective!
