Vancouver sweethearts Said the Whale are back, now as a trio, and their song "Step Into the Darkness" debuts at #26 on our chart this week. It's the first single from their upcoming album As Long As Your Eyes Are Wide, which will be released on March 31 via Hidden Pony. The band is now made up of frontmen Tyler Bancroft and Ben Worcester and keyboardist Jaycelyn Brown. Here's your first taste of their new back-to-the-basics sound:

Toronto orch-pop band Del Bel has joined forces with Clairmont the Second for the single "Do What The Bass Says," and it's the highest debut on our chart this week. Listen to their kinetic, cinematic collaboration below.

The Courtneys, who are also the featured interview on our January podcast, have quickly made their way up the chart, hitting the #1 spot after only four weeks on the chart with their fanastic new song "Silver Velvet."
