Prince was a king.

The man who was born Prince Rogers Nelson in Minneapolis, Minn., who would go on to become the finest musician of his generation, produced enough music in his 57 years to last multiple lifetimes. He released 39 studio albums, including Purple Rain and Sign O' the Times, 12 EPs and five soundtracks, including the critically acclaimed Batman. On the stage, he was unparalleled, from the control he had over his guitar to his ever-changing sense of style.

To mark the anniversary of his untimely death, we wanted to commemorate the latter. Below you will find the Prince Paper Doll, illustrated by CBC Music's Heather Collett. It's the latest in a line of paper dolls that also include David Bowie, Drake and Bono.
