The deadline for video submissions to the Canadian Music Class Challenge isn't until Nov. 24, 2017, but that hasn't stopped several music classes from across the country to be the first ones to submit their performances. All of them are great in their own ways, and CBC Music and MusiCounts would like to share them with you now.

First up is Fiddelium, a music class of young fiddle players from Nanaimo, B.C. The students attend a music school called Cross Canada Fiddle, and this group regularly performs at events throughout the community. Check out their great version of the CBC Olympic Theme Song.

Next up is Bayview Hill Elementary School from Richmond Hill, Ont. These kids take on the Joni Mitchell classic "Both Sides Now" with passion and a steady beat. Try not to get choked up when they hit the chorus!

And finally, Sistema is a worldwide music program dedicated to bringing musical instruction to those with the greatest need. Sistema Winnipeg is in its sixth year, and the program is offered in partnership with Winnipeg School Division and the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra. In this entry, the Sistema Winnipeg kids take on Ruth B's smash hit "Lost Boy."

There's still lots of time to enter your music class in the Canadian Music Class Challenge! You can do so here.
