Radio 2 Top 20 April 29: Cage the Elephant stampede into the top 10 and the Hip hop to #1

Emma Godmere

The number 1 song in the nation:

The Tragically Hip have hip-checked Kaleo out of the top spot to claim the R220 crown for the first time! Can you believe they've been together as a band for 32 years? And that this is their first R220 #1? (To be fair, they've hit #1 on other charts many, many times over many, many years: in fact, it was 20 years ago this month that they released "Ahead By A Century," their most successfully charted single in Canada.)

This week's biggest mover:

There's no stopping Cage the Elephant — they barrel their way up the chart this week, rising a whopping 11 spots to hit lucky #7.

One to watch:

For the second straight week, PEI's Paper Lions have scooped up the most online votes — your support helped them jump up seven spots this week to #5. Can they rise even higher next week?
