Radio 2 Top 20 April 22: The Tragically Hip Have This Week's Highest & Hippest New Entry

Pete Morey

The number 1 song in the nation:

For the second week your #1 song is by Icelandic band Kaleo. They once performed their #1 hit "Way Down We Go" in a volcano. How Icelandic is that? Check it out...

This Week's Biggest Mover:

This week's biggest mover is tied between two singers both up 10 places.

Keep your eye on 17 year old Declan McKenna. He leaps from 18 this week to number 8 on the chart with his song "Brazil" a sharp piece of commentary on sports money and politics in the shape of a three minute pop song. Clever!

David Myles is also up 10 places making a adventurous advance from from 20 to 10. Here he discusses his creative process with Producer Classified.

One to watch:

The Tragically Hip have the highest new entry this week at number #4. Their song "In a World Possessed By The Human Mind" is the first single taken from their 14th album Man Machine Poem released on June 17th. Great video, check it out.
