Radio 2 Top 20 Aug 21: City and Colour and Of Monsters and Men debut, Junius Meyvant and Vance Joy climb quickly

Talia Schlanger

On this week's chart we have FOUR new entries, including a new track from Of Monsters and Men in the top 10. City and Colour, Kalle Mattson and Leon Bridges also debut.

Newfoundland's Fortunate Ones are perched at number one with "Lay Me Down" for the second week in a row. The now-married duo have managed to hold off newcomer, Alessia Cara.

Streaking into the #2 spot is Vance Joy, who climbed 10 spots this week. Junius Meyvant's "Hailslide" was the only track to make a larger leap this week, moving up 12 spots to #8.

Barenaked Ladies fell two spots, but still held on to the top ten with their super catchy but medically unsound song "Duct Tape Heart." The band recently dropped by CBC Studio 211 for a First Play Live Session.

Ottawa's Kalle Mattson won the internet this week with his homage to his favourite album covers. How many can you name?

When Dallas Green isn't making collaborative albums with superstar P!nk, or touring with his reunited hardcore band Alexisonfire, he finds time to release brand new tracks:
