Radio 2 Top 20, July 11: Adam Cohen's high debut

Nana aba Duncan

This week on the chart: four brand new entries including two Canadians, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers zoom up the chart and Sam Smith is still seriously awesome.

Adam Cohen debuts at #9 with upcoming album's title track, "We Go Home". Yes, he sounds like his father Leonard Cohen and that's not a bad thing. Also, did you know Adam spent parts of his childhood in Greece?

Bahamas, Ryan Adams and Robert Plant are also new to the chart with the latest from their respective albums. Robert Plant describes his album lullaby and… The Ceaseless Roar as, "crunchy and gritty, very West African and very Massive Attack-y". Here's "Rainbow" :

And then there's Sam Smith. I can't get enough. If you haven't already, listen to this amazing version of Whitney Houston's "How Will I Know" :
