Radio 2 Top 20: the return of the New Pornographers

The New Pornographers

This is a band that truly knows its way around big, anthemic choruses and lush sounds. Vancouver's New Pornographers haven't released a new album in four years, but come August they will unveil a new album full of massive, stadium-ready tunes. We can't wait. For now, they enter the Radio 2 Top 20 with the first single, "Brill Bruisers," which happens to come with a super-fun interactive lyric video. Paint along!

Reuben and the Dark and their devilish ways

This is the latest exciting band to be signed to the Arts & Crafts label. The band's debut album is called Funeral Sky, and CBC Music brought Reuben and the Dark in for a First Play Live session. You'll want to keep them on your radar. Their single "Devil's Time" enters the chart at 14.

Sam Smith continues to amaze

What can't this UK crooner do? He's in the number one spot again this week and just have a listen as he takes the Whitney Houston classic "How Will I Know" to new heights. Shivers.
