The Radio 2 Top 20: Wake Owl returns to the top spot

Pete Morey

Glastonbury, one of the greatest music festivals on this green Earth, took place last weekend. The Rolling Stones played, and apparently it was aces! This week's number 13 act, Mumford & Sons, also played, and they closed Sunday night with a huge rendition of this Beatles classic with a little help from their friends Vampire Weekend (with this week's hot shooter at number 11) and plenty of famous pals:

You know when you have a weird dream about a dog and a bee in a luchador mask riding a horse, and you really want to tell someone else about it? Well don't, because no one cares about your weird dream except you. That is unless you’re in the band Fitz and the Tantrums, sitting at number three on the chart. Then it is OK to make a whole series of videos about your weird dreams and release them on the internet:

And look who's snuck back into the top spot: for a bunch of quiet folkies from the West, Wake Owl is showing no mercy on this chart, re-taking number one with that song exploring the savage beauty of the "Wild Country."
