The Strombo Show, November 22, 2015

Listen to the November 22, 2015, episode of the Strombo Show.

"I feel a sudden urge to sing. The kind of ditty that invokes the Spring So, control your desire to curse. While I crucify the verse.” - Ella Fitzgerald

The Strombo Show runs the gamut this Sunday night, keeping the spirit of radio alive by delivering the best records in the best order. It's a show for music lovers, ranging over three hours of commercial-free music to honour both old and new.

George Stroumboulopoulos will be joined by k-os for intimate acoustic performances and conversations to dig through the crates of his musical mind.

k-os is Kheaven, or Kevin Brereton. Since he began releasing his music over a decade ago, he has been Canada's outsider that is too pop to be rap, too rap to be indie. He has released five studio albums, two earning platinum and collaborations that have included Sam Roberts, Chemical Brothers, Black Thought and Drake. Throughout his journey, he has solidified himself as one of the most important musical minds in the Canadian culture and that is well-documented on his latest release, Can't Fly Without Gravity.

In the House of Strombo, k-os strips down a classic, a new cut off Can't Fly Without Gravity and an intimate rendition of a Radiohead standard. He'll also discuss his thoughts toward his position in hip-hop, the 6ix and spin integral records of his life.

Also, George welcomes a handful of friends to drop some requests that include Brooklyn-based pop group Lucius and Atlanta's free-spirited noisemaker, Raury.
