The annual Red Bull Music Academy will take place in Montreal this year, bringing with it a number of curated events celebrating music, both Canadian and international. Running from Sept. 24 to Oct. 28, the Red Bull Music Academy, which has taken place in New York, Tokyo, Paris and Berlin in recent years, will host performances, public lectures, exhibitions and various other unique experiences created by, or featuring, artists such as Björk, Iggy Pop, Chilly Gonzales, Tanya Tagaq, F--ked Up, Tiga and more.

Icelandic musician Björk will bring her Björk Digital Exhibition to Montreal starting Oct. 15. It's a virtual-reality experience that has already been shown in New York, London, Tokyo and Sydney, where fans can check out all five of Björk’s VR videos. Björk will also make an appearance with two DJ performances later that month.

There will also be a conversation with punk legend Iggy Pop, a collaborative performance between Polaris Music Prize winners Tanya Tagaq and F--ked Up, an underwater music-listening experience, an ice-skating disco night and other events celebrating an array of musical genres, from drone and metal to classical, with performances from Jean-Michel Blais and a special show by Gonzales in collaboration with a group of Academy participants.
