The R3-30: Radio 3’s top 30 songs for the week of August 29, 2016

Editorial Staff

We have a total of seven new songs making a debut on our top 30 this week, all from a list of the who's who of Canadian indie rock. To kick things off, Islands breaks on to the chart at #30 with a breezy electro-pop jam called "The Weekend," accompanied by a video of him showing off some pretty impressive dance moves:

Other debuts include songs from July Talk, Black Mountain, Operators, Crystal Castles and Grimes. Brendan Canning has the highest debut this week with "Book It To Fresno."

Lowell continues her impressive run of dance-floor ready tunes with "High Enough," which climbs to #4 this week. Dan Mangan leapfrogs all the way to #1 with a song from his surprise summer EP Unmake called "Race To The Bottom."
