Nate J, Japandroids, Broken Social Scene: Radio 3's top 30 songs for the week of May 15, 2017

Editorial Staff

The Midway State's frontman Nathan John Ferraro has released a record under the name Nate J, and it's definitely more of a pop-oriented effort than his main act. The very danceable song "Alien" breaks on to the chart this week at #30.

After hitting #1 a few months ago with "Near To The Wild Heart Of Life," Japandroids are back with the cheer-inducing "North East South West" and it's the highest debut on our chart this week.

Other new songs on the chart include "Figure It Out" from the Matinée and "Brothers" from Jon McKiel.

Broken Social Scene climbs to #1 with their new single "Halfway Home." The supergroup just announced their first new album in seven years, Hug of Thunder, will be released on July 7.
