Wolf Saga is the brainchild of London, Ont., musician Johnny Saga, who has started to break out with his unique brand of electro-pop. Productions by Samsung, Converse and Air Canada have brought Wolf Saga's music to the masses, and an array of cover songs has seen more than two million streams on the Wolf Saga Soundcloud page. His latest single, "Keep Dancing," is quickly climbing the National Aboriginal Music Countdown.
Performing as a trio with guitarist/keyboardist Richard Gracious and drummer Michael Farina has allowed Wolf Saga to bring in some indie-rock influences to his synth-based dance sound. The band can be seen today in Toronto headlining the National Aboriginal Day festivities as part of Toronto's Luminato Festival.
This First Play Live session took place on a cold Friday evening in March, where Wolf Saga packed the Root Down Studio with an audience of music fans eager to heat the place up.
