You are sure to recognize Adaline's voice, even if you don't know the name. Her original music has appeared more than 60 times in film and on television, counting multiple songs on Grey’s Anatomy, 90210, Ringer, Lost Girl and Flashpoint, to name just a few. You may also be one of the 40 million people who heard Adaline sing a cover of the Genesis song “Follow You Follow Me,” which was the soundtrack for the beautifully sentimental short film called Lily & the Snowman.
While Adaline's focus has been behind the scenes as a songwriter/singer in film and television, that is all about to change with the release of her new ten-song album, Aquatic. This new release puts Adaline front and centre as an artist, as it's filled with sensuous, personal songs that are driven by percussion and strong melodies.
We invited Adaline and her band of heavy-hitters — made up of drummer Maurie Kaufmann, bassist Devon Henderson and keyboardist John Spence — into the CBC Music studio for some live renditions of six songs from Aquatic.
With the release of Aquatic, Adaline is sure to move from the voice you recognize to the artist you love.
