Weaves, Alvvays, Mac DeMarco: Radio 3's top 30 songs for the week of September 4, 2017

Editorial Staff

Toronto's Weaves made the Polaris Music Prize short list this year with their self-titled 2016 release. That seems to be yesterday's news, however, as they already have their next album ready to go. Wide Open will come out on October 6, and the song "#53" edges into our top 30 this week at #28.

Alvvays just released their new album Antisocialites, and we have an advance stream of it a week ahead of its release date. The sweet pop lullaby "Dreams Tonite" is the highest debut on our top 30, checking in at #22.

Other debuts this week include "Lufunki" from Souljazz Orchestra and "Signs of Life" from Arcade Fire.

Mac DeMarco reaches the number one position on his sixth week on the chart with the song "Baby You're Out" from his latest album This Old Dog.
