Listen to Weaves’ arresting new song featuring Tanya Tagaq

Holly Gordon

Polaris shortlisted band Weaves premiered a new song at the gala last night, along with a performance of "One More," from their self-titled shortlisted album.

Called "Scream," the new song is the band's first collaboration with Tanya Tagaq, and is an arresting, jarring departure from Weaves' previously released singles for its upcoming full-length, Wide Open.

"I almost don’t think of 'Scream' as a song, it’s like a sculpture in the middle of the album, sticking out poking people like a 3D installation," stated frontwoman Jasmyn Burke.
