Laura Sauvage, Royal Canoe + Little Scream, Weaves: Radio 3's top 30 songs for the week of Oct. 9, 2017

Editorial Staff

You may know Montreal indie rocker Vivianne Roy, a.k.a. Laura Sauvage, from her work in the folk-country trio Les Hay Babies. Laura Sauvage is her solo project, and she debuts at #28 on the chart this week with the song "Everything Is In Everything" from her latest album The Beautiful.

The multi-instrumental, percussive indie pop of Winnipeg's Royal Canoe provides a pleasing backdrop to the smooth vocals of Little Scream on the song "Painted For Us," which is the highest debut on our chart this week.

Other debuts this week include "Soothsayer" from Nick Ferrio, "I'm Not There" from Fake Palms, and "Holy Books" from Death From Above.

Weaves released its stunning sophomore album Wide Open last Friday, and the album's first single "#53" rockets to the top of our chart. The band is currently on a big world tour, with stops in Ottawa, Montreal, and Halifax coming up.
