Cold Specks, Barr Brothers, Destroyer: Radio 3's top 30 songs for the week of Oct. 23, 2017

Just a few weeks ago, singer-songwriter Ladan Hussein, a.k.a. Cold Specks, just released her latest album Fool's Paradise. CBC Music had her in for a First Play Live session, where she performed all the songs from the album, including "Solid," which debuts this week on our chart at #29.

Montreal band the Barr Brothers have also recently released a new LP, titled Queens of the Breakers. The album's groovy rocker "It Came to Me" is the highest debut at #19.

The Pack A.D. also debuts on the chart this week with the title track from their new album Dollhouse.

Enigmatic troubadour Dan Bejar returns with ken, his 12th studio album as Destroyer. The lead single from the album, "Sky's Grey," starts off as a sparse poem and midway through, rolls into an easy-listening jam. It climbs all the way to #1 on our chart this week,
