Sean Nicholas Savage, Groenland, Milk & Bone: Radio 3's top 30 songs for the week of January 22, 2018

Pop balladeer Sean Nicholas Savage seems to be channeling Boy George on "Opposing Truths," a song from his latest release, a cassette and digital album called Yummycoma. The song's playful vocals, pop melodies and upbeat rhythm will make you want to get up and dance.

Montreal indie-pop outfit Groenland has the highest debut this week with "Propaganda," a song that was recorded for the band's second album but didn't make the cut. Regrettably, the band played their final live show last November, but left fans with a parting gift in the form of the posthumously released A Wider Space, B-Sides.

Other debuts this week include Nicholas Krgovich with "The World Tonight," Energy Slime with "It's Cold," and Michael Rault with "Sleep With Me."

Montreal duo Milk & Bone climb to the top spot this week with the title track from their upcoming album Deception Bay, which is due out on Feb. 2. Watch them perform the song during a CBC Music First Play Live at the Mahjong Bar in Toronto.
