Radio-Canada will present a People's Choice Award of $3,000 to one finalist in each division — art song and aria — of the 2018 Montreal International Music Competition. These prizes will go to the finalists who receive the most votes from the public. Online voting is open to all, regardless of age or country of origin.
To vote for your favourite art song finalist:
- Watch the webcast of — or attend in person — the art song final on Sunday, June 3, at 3 p.m. ET.
- Following the performances, between 5 and 6 p.m. ET, click the link below and register to vote for your favourite finalist.
To vote for your favourite aria finalist:
- Watch the webcast of — or attend in person — the aria final on Thursday, June 7, at 7:30 p.m. ET.
- Beginning at 8:45 p.m. ET, click the link below and register to vote for your favourite finalist.
All prize winners at the 2018 Montreal International Music Competition will be announced following the aria final taking place June 7 at 7:30 p.m. ET.
Apart from Radio-Canada's People's Choice Awards, the prize winners are determined by a jury comprising Edith Bers (United States), Ben Heppner (Canada), Soile Isokoski (Finland), Warren Jones (United States), François Le Roux (France), Felicity Lott (United Kingdom), Richard Rodzinski (United States), Joseph Rouleau (Canada), Kiri Te Kanawa (New Zealand) and Zarin Mehta (jury president).
