Dizzy, Postdata, Kandle: Radio 3's top 30 songs for the week of July 2, 2018

Editorial Staff

Ontario rock quartet Dizzy debuts on the chart this week with a melancholy dream-pop song called "Joshua." The feeling of heartbreak in this song is palpable, thanks to the combination of singer Katie Munshaw's delicate, yearning vocals and lyrics like "Joshu's a gemini/ He broke my heart."

Wintersleep frontman Paul Murphy has a solo project called Postdata, and earlier this year he released a new album called Let's Be Wilderness via Paper Bag Records. The song "Erase Your Heart" pulses its way on to the chart this week, and it the highest debut at #24.

After five weeks on the chart, Kandle climbs to the top with her blues-rock noir single "Bender."
