Basement Revolver, Ralph, Great Lake Swimmers: CBC Radio 3's top 30 songs for the week of August 20, 2018

Editorial Staff

Hamilton's Basement Revolver is getting ready to release a new album this week called Heavy Eyes. It's the trio's first full-length effort, and the single "Dancing" edges on to the top 30 at #30.

Toronto electro-pop artist Ralph has the highest debut with the disco-tinged single "Tables Have Turned." The laid-back, bouncy song is the perfect addition to your late-summer playlist.

Other debuts this week include Jim Bryson with "Cut Bait" at #28, Ellis with "The Drain" at #26 and Golden Drag with "Caught Leaking Light" at #24.

Great Lake Swimmers just released a new album last week called The Waves, The Wake, and the gently rollicking single "Alone But Not Alone" climbs to the #1 spot. The song was recorded in a 145-year-old church in London, Ont. and you can watch the band performing it on location in the video.
