On Sept. 3, CBC Music and Tempo launch five new music streams that will take you on geographical tours of Europe's classical music hotbeds: Britain, France, Italy, Germany and Russia.
Tune in to CBC Music's Tempo all week as host Julie Nesrallah presents A Festival of Nations — "a wonderful way to discover and enjoy the musical hearts and minds of each country's best and brightest stars," she says. The series begins on Monday, Sept. 3, with Classical Britain, and continues through the week with a different nation each day.
Tempo airs weekdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.) on CBC Music.
Enjoy our five new classical music hotbed streams below:
From festive marches to soaring choral classics, from baroque to modern, and from lush English strings to brilliant brass, our Classical Britain stream will be a "blinding" soundtrack for your day. Hear works by Handel, Tavener, Britten, Elgar and others.
