Danny Michel, Art d'Ecco, Helena Deland: CBC Radio 3's top 30 for the week of Sept. 24, 2018

Editorial Staff

Danny Michel debuts on the chart with the title track and third single from his upcoming album, Purgatory Cove. Michel is taking a novel approach to releasing the album, planning to put out one song at a time over the course of a few months. “I'm all about the idea of shorter albums, more often,” he says via press release.

In total, the album will contain six songs, with each track featuring its own original artwork etched into real wood.

Glam-rocker Art d'Ecco debuts on the chart this week with "Never Tell," which checks in at #21. The bouncy, angular track is from his upcoming debut album Trespasser, which will be released on Oct. 12 via Paper Bag Records.

Other debuts this week include "Good Girls" from Ryder Havdale and "Fever" from Klaus.

After five weeks on the chart, Montreal singer-songwriter Helena Deland takes over the top spot with her song "Claudion."
