Here's the arrangement of Bach's Violin Partita in E Major you didn't know you needed

By
Robert Rowat

Such was Sergei Rachmaninoff's admiration for Bach's Violin Partita in E Major, BWV 1006, that he arranged three of its seven movements — Prelude, Gavotte and Gigue — for solo piano. Bachmaninoff, if you'll pardon the pun.

That arrangement served as the point of departure for accordionist Michael Bridge and clarinettist Kornel Wolak (together, they're Double-Double Duo) who transcribed and performed it for CBC Music at the Church of the Holy Trinity in Toronto.
